Well, it's under three hours until the LIVE HGTV Dream home giveaway for 2008. I'm wondering if I should put some makeup on and get out of my faithful sweatpants. How does this work? Do they come to your door? Show up at a restaurant? Is it really "live"? We shall see. We don't have any hot plans for tonight, just a little bit of Thomas the train and chocolate chip cooking eating...oh, and reading my latest book club book of which I've read over 200 pages TODAY. (Atonement, by Ian McEwan). This would explain why we are all still in our pj's....I've been reading EVERY chance I get. The boys were exposed to the chicken pox virus almost exactly two weeks ago so we're basically staying quarantined for another few days.I'll be sure to let you know if we win!

well, we didn't win! although i was very disappointed at the lack-luster response of the lady that did win. barely a smile the entire time. it was almost painful to watch....at the least, very uncomfortable. it was as if she was totally annoyed at the camera crews for being at her home. it was very odd and as i said before, very anti-climatic and disappointing. nonetheless, i am happy for her and the memories that will be made in her new home! whoo-hoo for her.

When i got home and turned on the TV, that whole thing was playing and I only watched for a minute but the family did not seem very happy.
