This Summer I've been trying to remember what it was like when I was about 8 years old....let's begin with a picture! Nothing like a little visual flashback to help get the memories started! Although I certainly don't remember much I do know that I was made to play outside on most days.
I know I had chores first and play second.
I know I was happy and not hounded.
I was encouraged to be creative and adventurous apart from toys of any kind.
And I had a mullet.
And so I try to remember being 8 and loving those long Summer days. I try to remember what it was like to not worry about keeping a clean house and getting the laundry done. I try to remember that you get hungry because you play hard. I try to remember the treat of staying up late or watching a movie in the middle of the day.I try to remember how wonderful it was to be alive and carefree.

and, we were probably pretending to shave our legs with blue crayola markers, remember?
Love the pic of you when you were 8! I had a perm and teeth that needed braces badly so I might have taken the mullet over that! Haha!
