a little message from my boys

"WE'RE GONNA BE BIG BROTHERS!!"

yes, it's true....2 big brothers in the house!! I'm about 11 weeks pregnant, I haven't been to the midwife yet, so I'll know more details next week! We're calling this one our little "breakthrough baby", (you can use your imagination regarding that one)!! I've been feeling pretty yucky with this pregnancy, which is new to me. I felt amazing, even better then normal, when I was pregnant with both Tyler and Luke. It's worth it all though, this I know!!!! From what I've been reading, I think I'm due in the beginning of May. I'll keep you updated that's for sure. Tyler wants to name the baby "Emily" if it's a girl, (after his favorite girl train) and Thomas if it's a boy....go figure!! We're not going to find out what we're having this time. We found out with Luke and didn't tell, one word: torture! I'm just not good at keeping things like that to myself. I was trying to be all tricky and put pink blankets out and stuff like that....none of that this time around. I love surprises and so does Jake and I can't think of a greater surprise!

Off to nap, 1:00-3:00 is sacred around here....

*thank you to Tina for the GREAT picture of my boys!!*

Congrats again...I've been thinking of you daily...I won't say "hang in there" or "it will be over soon" or any of that nonsense because while that may be true it still SUCKS! Just saying it like it is!!!

Yippee! Yippee! Yippee! Congrats to you guys! Can't wait to see your growing belly...and to hear your birth story with Marybeth (I'm assuming). It's exciting!

YES, i'm totally putting dibs on Maribeth....so, when you read this CountryMidwife, just remember "I call Maribeth", (you know, kinda like you say, "I call shotgun," except that's old school now and no one does that anymore!!). :-)and in reply to Kara's comment:
i'm a dork and always get my weeks messed up....do you go from the day of your last period or from the date of conception? It's so confusing!

most people go by gestational weeks. there are 40 gestational weeks in a pregnancy. to go by gestational weeks/age you start counting the weeks from the date of your last period. for fetal age, it's from conception, which is typically two weeks after your last period. i only thought of this because we were so close in our due dates, but i knew i was slightly ahead of you. i would've thought you were more like 9ish weeks along. seeing i would've been 11ish, due mid april.
oh, and to determine a due date. you count back three months from you last period and add 7 days, that is typically how they calculate a due date.

i know, it's confusing, maybe this helps.

congrats janelle!!
how fun!
i just found your blog through your facebook info! it's wonderful!
i hope the yuckiness goes away soon! i was sick as a dog through all 3 pregnancies and know that it is just no fun. it IS, however, worth it!!!
blessings to your family!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! You are such a wonderful mother. The world needs you to parent as many children as possible! 3 is a good start! :)

I will be praying for you during your pregnancy. The only practical advice that I can offer is to try Dr. Pepper. I doubt that mid-wives and doctors would support it, but it worked for me! (not very scientific, i know) The best advice I ever received was to listen to my body. If I crave it, I probably need it.
And if everything else fails, just remember the facts of pregnancy...it's not permanent and the end result is mind-blowing!

Peace and love...
