Sometimes I wonder who's out there reading this blog.
In all honesty it feels so narcissistic to me, probably because it is!
MY blog about MY life and MY family and MY stories and MY views.
I really do want to "offer" more then just pictures of our latest vacation
or thoughts about my favorite fabric softener, (which is Snuggle lest you wonder)!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Behind every click is a PERSON and I often think about who YOU are & where YOU might be and I'd love to know more about YOU this weekend.
If you have the time would you be so kind as to tell us all:
{YOUR AGE?}
{WHERE YOU LIVE?}
{YOUR FAVORITE SONG OF ALL TIME?}
***(feel free to stay annoymous)***
I think it might be cool to see who's all stopping by.
There are, according to google, 133 million blogs out there!! OH MY!!! And so I really do appreciate those that take the time to read my ramblings and the stories about our short life here on earth. I enjoy this little community "around my kitchen table" in blogland and am interested in knowing more about who you are!
“Yes, blogging is entertainment. It is performance.
Each blog post a show, sometimes an opera,
sometimes a 30 second commercial."
I found your blog from Bryan Allain's poop story :-) We have children about the same age, so I relate to a lot of what you write. I also have family that live near you, so I can picture some of the places you mention.
Your blog is an encouragement to me, so thank you!
I love "I Will Carry You" and
You Deliever Me". How's that for a long schpiel on a favorite song?
On a side note, I often, often wonder who's on the other side of my computer screen too. I like your idea. Maybe I'll borrow it someday!?
I L-O-V-E reading your blog!
It has really helped me get to know you over the past few years!
It is like a window into your heart and your home!
I love getting to see what's new with your little pumpkins and often get to find out things that you might not have time to tell me in church.
I love the music you have on here! You've led me to some songs that I may never have heard and now love. I often put on the 'pop out player' while I'm doing other things.
Love you lady! Thanks for taking time to write your blog!
I'm 64 and you know where I live. I have many favorite songs but "To God Be the Glory" is one that comes to mind quickly. I read your blog because you are such a great writer, an inspiration and I enjoy hearing about your children since my grands are so far away. Yours are a kind of substitute. One of these days I'm going to arrange for them to visit me so I can hug them! God bless!!!!
Hey Janelle! I enjoy reading your musings on life, faith and being a wife and mother and of course, your pictures! I've been using your crockpot granola recipe (or Jena's) for a while. It's my husband's favorite! I've passed it on to my brother-in-law as well.
And thanks for inviting your readers to reveal themselves....it's so easy to browse and not actually connect. Your request made me take the time to do so. I hope you and all your loved ones are well! God bless!
Hi,I enjoy reading your blog.I love to read and read almost all non-fiction,very few novels.(I do like John Grisham)Since I enjoy reading true-life stories,I also like reading blogs.It gives me a glimpse into other peoples lives.Well,I am 47(for a few more days),live in the northern end of Lancaster Co.and as for a favorite song,it probably is You Raise Me Up,especially performed by Selah.
Hey Lady!
I am 30, I live in Puerto Montt, Chile (as you well know). My favorite song is "Be Thou My Vision". I'm half Irish, maybe that's why that Celtic hymn moves me. I love your writing; often I regret the fact that I didn't get to know you whilst I lived in PA. I hope to have the pleasure of hosting your dear family on our return in 2011. Know that your writing, your sharing of your heart, is appreciated.
Janelle...I am Missy King. 32 year old wife and mommy, living on a chicken farm in Atglen, PA. I don't remember how I got to reading your blog. You and I have our 'most favorite' midwife in common ;), and several friends (Ang, Heather Buckwalter is my sister in law, Orpha, the list could go on) :) in common as well. I seem to have some of the same interests and thought realities as you. :) Love your style and decorating. You do a great job being real...which is sometimes so hard to find, especially amoung us women. :) Happy weekend.
oh, and my favorite song right now, is...Trust by Kristene Mueller. missy king.
As for a Song? Ooo...this is tough...I like a lot of songs--but probably all-time favorite would be "More Than Words", by Extreme. Sacred? Maybe "How Deep the Father's Love for Us" or "There is a Redeemer"
(Oh and I found your blog through Jeane's and then realized you know Michelle W., too--and other people I recognize! your blog is so fun to read!) ~Kim ♥
Discovered you through Jeane's blog; what has made me visit you again, was your challenge to me (although I'm sure you didn't know it was to me personally) to love your husband even when he isn't "meeting your needs" (my words, not yours). I think it was something along the lines of him working too many hours, and that you were convicted of not praying diligently for him. It has stayed with me, day after day. . .thank you!
I'm Krista - I'm 32 & live in the sweet little town of Strasburg. We rode the bus together as kids & meet up at yard sales & such these days. I love hearing about all your adventures & how you give people a sneak peek into your home. There are too many wonderful songs for me to pick an absolute favorite. Here's my favorite 80s one at the moment - Time after Time by Cyndi Lauper.
Hi! I'm orginally from Lancaster Co. but moved to Harleysville after getting married to Dave. We're now in prison ministry with We Care Program in AL. I've enjoyed your blog for almost a year now and hope you're not weirded out by a stranger reading your blog. :) I love it! I was especially touched by your recent post about the woman you met who hadn't seen her mom for two years. My parents were Amish and have been severely shunned over the past years. I vascillate between loving my heritage one minute and feeling frustration with its "quirks" the next minute. Keep writing and sharing your heart. I like it!
Oh, I found your blog through Clarita Yoder. She's an old friend. And, we used to go to New Covenant together.
I have four kids with my oldest being seven and the youngest being eight months. I homeschool and love reading your thoughts on that, too. :)
Love and blessings from a stranger, Mary Landis
Hello! I'm Erin, age 32, and I live in a little town in rural Minnesota. I grew up in MN, but lived in PA for 8 years during my college years and then beyond. I knew you just a wee bit during TBS days and we have some mutual friends. You also went to high school with my hubby, Jake! I have been reading your blog for a long time (probably close to 2 years!!) and I really enjoy it for many reasons. I like your writing style, love your openness, and appreciate your thoughts on faith, life, mothering, marriage, etc. I often come away feeling inspired. I also miss Lancaster County and reading your blog helps me feel more connected to it. Thanks for sharing your life with us!
I’m going to have to get back to you on the song – it’s so hard to narrow it down!
