Don't cry....

over a 1/2 gallon of spilled milk....LITERALLY! I found THIS when I came downstairs one morning from changing Luke's diaper. I had to laugh or I would have cried! "Don't do it yourself" he says to ME! Yeah, right back at ya!!

"My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, "You're tearing up the grass." "We're not raising grass," my dad would reply, "we're raising boys."--Harmon Killebrew

Don't ya just love 2 year old boys......
That reminds me of Samuel's dumping my 1/2 gallon of maple syrup on my dining room carpet....
Now it makes me laugh!

Oh, I remember the midnight "glow" from the kitchen. Jackson, age 2 1/2, would be sitting on the bottom of the refridgerator, sucking down the Hershey's syrup...who needs milk!??! He had tried to close the door...his feet would be in the way. We've come a long way baby!

Now it is the remnants of a midnight sandwich or chocolate and ice cream that greet me some mornings.

These are sweet, albeit messy, days my friend...

Good for you about laughing!!! I think I need to laugh at those things more! And I love the quote that Harmon made. I think I've found an important New Years resolution... To remember I'm raising a boy (and a tomboy girl in this case)
Hope you had a great New Year see you at the "Club"!!

I know I sound like an old lady when I tell you "these are precious times", messy, sticky, dirty --yes-- but so precious.

My boy is gone now and our house is so QUIET. After years of harping Carson to clean his room, I can't for the life of me, bring myself to even fix his bed since he left! It stays unmade for now,so the room doesn't look so sterile and unused...

We have this moment,

Hey Janelle!

This is Cherie calling! Geesh! We haven't seen each other in... well, a very looooong time. What a pleasure to be able to take a precious glimpse into your life.

If you find the time, please take a glimpse into mine at www.cjraymer.com, and email me.

The girls (Rhoda, Sarah, and Sharon) came by today and gave me your site address. It's great! Yes, we're back in PA. Nazareth to be exact. And, loving it!

I hope we can get back in touch again and maybe see each other sometime soon!
