going, going, gone

The ingredients to my current favorite salad:
Sesame almond romaine salad
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 packages ramen noodles, crushed
1/3 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup slivered almonds
2 bunches romaine, torn

in a large skillet, melt butter & sugar, add the noodles, sesame seeds and almonds. cook and stir for 6-8 minutes until browned. Dressing:
3/4 cup olive oil
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp. soy sauce

Combine dressing ingredients and shake well.

Just before serving, drizzle over romaine and top with noodles. This makes a very large serving so I usually 1/2 the recipe.
